Milwaukee PBS will air “Understanding Implicit Bias” on Thursday, February 11 at 7:00 pm. During the 90-minute special from the producers of Milwaukee PBS’ award-winning “Black Nouveau” series, husband and wife Kima and Dasha Kelly Hamilton will help people understand unconscious patterns and stereotypes that we develop that affect individuals, attitudes, and actions.

 

About the panelists:

Kima Hamilton is a facilitator, DJ and social justice engineer. Kima leads discussion and healing circles for men with the Alma Center and is an on-air personality with Radio Milwaukee.

Dasha Kelly Hamilton is Wisconsin’s poet laureate. She is also a widely-respected educator, culture producer, and founder of Still Waters Collective, an arts outreach organization committed to building community, capacity and confidences.

“Black Nouveau” executive producer Everett Marshburn is the recipient of numerous Emmy awards and in 2018 was honored with the Journalist of Distinction Award by the National Association of Black Journalists.

Bohdan Zachary is Vice President and General Manager of Milwaukee PBS. He joined the station in November 2015 after 18 years as a senior executive at the PBS station in Los Angeles.
