Washington continues to disrupt manufacturers’ efforts to strengthen the economy and create jobs. But, beneath this uncertainty is pent-up optimism. Low-cost energy in the United States and improving economic conditions abroad are giving manufacturers hope that a lasting recovery is in reach—if only policymakers in Washington seize this opportunity to enact pro-growth policies. National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) President and CEO Jay Timmons will discuss the unique opportunities and challenges facing the manufacturing economy and the solutions that will unleash manufacturers’ economic might in Wisconsin and nationwide. Timmons will focus on trade, energy, workforce and other key policies needed from Washington to improve manufacturing competitiveness in 2014 and beyond.

The NAM is the largest manufacturing association in the United States, representing small and large manufacturers in every industrial sector and in all 50 states. Visit www.nam.org.
