Creative placemaking is driven by the National Endowment for the Arts in collaboration with national and local foundations looking for effective ways to create economic prosperity and cultural vibrancy within communities. Thanks to national funding and local effort, creative placemaking projects in Milwaukee – like the Beerline Trail Extension, the NEWaukee Night Market and the City of Milwaukee’s HOME GR/OWN – have garnered national recognition and attention.
