As Milwaukee experiences an unprecedented surge in downtown development, it has an opportunity to translate that investment into substantial and meaningful jobs for low-income residents. New research by the Public Policy Forum seeks to shed light on whether the City has the right policies and programs in place to do so. Forum President Rob Henken and Senior Researcher Joe Peterangelo will present the research, which examines the performance of the City’s Residents Preference Program and explores best practices from other “targeted hiring” programs across the country and their potential applicability to Milwaukee.
