Marcus White, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Vice President of Community Partnerships, gave us the highlights of the 2015 Vital Signs report, which provides a look at how our region is faring compared to 15 other metropolitan areas, many of them our economic competitors. The report shows how we compare on items such as population growth, income, educational attainment, business development, exports, and dozens of other indicators of vitality. This objective data allows policymakers, business leaders, and foundations to better understand our unique environment, the investment needed to build upon success, and the opportunities to strengthen areas of challenge.
