MATC President Dr. Michael Burke spoke on the topic “MATC’s Second Century of Innovative Education.” As MATC moves into its second century, it has come a long way from its humble beginnings as “a continuation school for the forgotten children of Milwaukee.” Since 2011, MATC has developed eight new associate degrees, 15 new technical diplomas, and two dozen new certificate programs to meet the needs of an evolving workforce. Working with local employers, the college provides industry-certified skills to our local workforce so that we can maintain our economic competitiveness and promote innovation. From manufacturing and construction to sustainability and mobile applications development, MATC prepares its students for the world of technology.
