The City of Milwaukee’s top development official has focused a lot of his attention recently on the city’s downtown lakefront. The neighborhood immediately around Milwaukee’s War Memorial Center set for a major makeover – complete with new office buildings, a hotel/apartment high-rise, easier access to some of the waterfront’s most popular attractions, and a city/state plan to relocate freeway off ramps. Commissioner Rocky Marcoux provides a first-hand account outlining the project’s details and the collaboration that made it possible.
