Important changes to our criminal justice system are currently underway in Wisconsin.  In the State Assembly, a bi-partisan effort to bring these reforms is being led by State Representatives Rob Hutton (R-Brookfield) and Evan Goyke (D-Milwaukee). Speaking on Wisconsin’s need for justice reform and focusing on ideas currently being debated in the State Legislature, Representatives Hutton and Goyke will provided a view of what may be in store for Wisconsin’s justice system.  Specific topics will include: returning some 17 year-old offenders to juvenile court; expanding expungement of non-violent records; Treatment, Alternatives and Diversions (TAD) programming; and enhancing victim’s rights. Rotarian Kent Lovern, Milwaukee County Chief Deputy District Attorney, moderated the discussion.
